The Russian Ministry of Health has submitted a revised draft of the order “On Approval of the Procedure for the Use of Clinical Guidelines (CG)” for approval by professional associations. Published on the website of the Medical Workers' Union of the Chuvash Republic, the new version omits the clause that previously stated CGs would not be considered mandatory requirements during state oversight, licensing, and other regulatory assessments. It also removes the suggestion to exclude CGs from quality assessments under Article 64 of Federal Law No. 323-FZ. However, the Ministry still proposes that Roszdravnadzor not directly audit CGs but instead use their algorithms to form quality criteria, approved by the relevant federal authority.
