Ministry Registers Domestic Drug for Anxiety Disorders

The Ministry has registered the Russian-made drug Marituperdin for treating anxiety disorders. Its uniqueness lies in its multi-target mechanism, providing both anxiolytic and antidepressant effects, according to ChemRar’s Medical Director E. Yakubova. Marituperdin has been in clinical trials in partnership with Sechenov University for over a year. The trials are still ongoing and are now evaluating the drug’s efficacy for not only depressive disorders but also panic attacks.
